The Chief of Naval Staff, 18 Others Conferred Fellows

The Chief of Naval Staff, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Vice Admiral I.E Ibas and 18 Principal Officers of the Nigerian Navy were conferred FELLOWS of Occupational Safety and Health Association – OSHAssociation UK – Nigeria Region on 9th Feb. 2018, held at the Naval Headquarters Abuja. It was a remarkable Induction with the presence of Distinguished Fellows of the Association.

It was made clear during the induction that the Nigerian Navy shall continue to partner with the Association as a corporate member and would get more committed to the activities of the Association because SAFETY is their PRIORITY”

Dr. Dalhatu Mohammed, Nigeria Regional President of OSHAssociation UK, responded positively assuring the Naval Boss of the Association’s support towards Occupational Safety and Health in the Nigerian Navy.

The Regional Administrator of the Association gave a pungent presentation on the benefits of an effective collaboration between the Nigerian Navy and OSHAssociation UK in the areas of assisting the Nigerian Navy Safety and Standard Division in research and development, to ensure Safety best practices.

The leadership of the Nigerian Navy has showed readiness to strengthening their relationship with OSHAssociation and this will help promote productivity and safer working conditions for the Nigerian Navy Personnel.
